Fever

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, infants younger than 3 months old with a fever of 100.4 F or greater should be seen in an emergency room.  At Clear Choice Emergency Room, our highly skilled physicians and staff will evaluate your fever to find its underlying cause.

Fever is usually associated with physical discomfort, with most people feeling better when the fever has been treated. Depending on age, physical condition, and the underlying cause of the fever, however, you may or may not require medical treatment for the fever alone.

In children with fever, accompanying symptoms such as lethargy, fussiness, poor appetite, sore throatcoughear painvomiting, and diarrhea are important symptoms to relay to your doctor.
