ICERAYS RELEASE COPLEY; SIGN STLOUKAL

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Corpus Christi IceRays General Manager Pat Dunn announced today that the team has completed two transactions which affect the team’s 23-man roster.  First, it was announced that the team signed foreign-born forward Petr Stloukal (stah-local) from the Chicago Steel (USHL).  In order to create a roster spot, the team then released center Navarone Copley.

Stloukal (Brnu, Czech Republic) played 16 games with the Steel and had one goal this season.  Born on June 18, 1993, he stands 5’10 and weighs 180 pounds.  He will be in uniform this week.

Copley departs Corpus Christi having played in 25 games with one goal and 10 assists for 11 points.

Also the team announced that two players from the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) will join the team this week.  Forwards Alex Koopmeiners and Jack Thompson will both be allowed to play six games with the IceRays before they have to be added to the official 23-man roster.

The team next plays in Wichita Falls on Wednesday December 15th at 7:05 PM.
