For the second consecutive week, the IceRays had a player earn 2nd Star of the Week for the South Division. Trey Zagrzebski tallied a goal and three assists against Amarillo last weekend earning the league’s second star honor.
Zagrzebski came to the IceRays three weeks ago and has played in all six games since he joined. In those six games, he has tallied nine points with two goals and seven assists. The even crazier stat is that the Wisconsin native was held off of the scoresheet his first weekend with the Rays meaning he has nine points in his last four games.
Trey has been a big factor on the man advantage since joining the IceRays. Both of his goals have come on the power play, and he has had an assist on all five of the goals scored on the man advantage the past two weekends.
This is the sixth time this season that an IceRays player has been honored with the first or second star of the week. In the weekly awards, Nathan Butler was also named as an honorable mention for scoring three goals against Amarillo.
