CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – This week, the Corpus Christi IceRays begin to build the 2023 Roster. Defenseman Luca Fasciano agreed to terms on a tender contract.
Fasciano adds to the impressive roster of IceRays tenders, bringing a wealth of competitive experience to the team. His most recent season was spent playing in the Ontario Junior Hockey League, representing Toronto, Ontario, Canada with distinction.
Throughout his successful OJHL career, Fasciano has consistently showcased his offensive prowess, recording an impressive 28 goals, 46 assists, and 64 points across a total of 106 games. In his previous season as a skilled defenseman, he continued to make a significant impact on the ice, tallying an impressive 42 points in 51 games.
Head Coach, Sylvain Cloutier expressed his enthusiasm about adding Fasciano to the IceRays roster, stating, “We are extremely excited to have tendered Luca, he will add some size to our back end. He’s an excellent skater, competitor, and great defender, he will be a great addition to our special team.”

What is a Tender?
A tender is a contract, of sorts. A player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders – plus or minus any trades – which become active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft.
