IceRays defenseman Braden Rourke has been called up to the Des Moines Buccaneers of the USHL.
Rourke was named the NAHL’s Defenseman of the Month in December after averaging a point per game. The Des Moines native joins his hometown team ahead of a three-game weekend against three of the top four teams in the USHL Western Conference.
The games in El Paso will be the first of the season without Rourke for Corpus Christi as he has played in every game this season. Rourke leads IceRays defenders in almost every offensive category including points, goals, and power play points.
Rourke is set to make his USHL debut on the road this weekend as Des Moines travels to Omaha, Lincoln, and Tri-City to start a five-game road trip.
