The IceRays are proud to announce that Lincoln Whitaker has tendered for the 2022-23 season. Whitaker has appeared in three games for Corpus Christi as an affiliated player this season earning a primary assist for the Rays.
IceRays head coach Mike Lysyj had the following to say about Whitaker signing his tender. “He’s a big, strong, power forward, and when he plays that game, he can create some offense for us. He had an assist when he played here, and it was kind of a momentum shift for us. (Whitaker) is another great kid for our locker room coming from the Des Moines youth program. That power forward model can help us up and down the lineup.”
Whitaker, a native of Des Moines, Iowa, has played the last three seasons with the Des Moines Buccaneers AAA program, which plays games in the NAPHL. With Des Moines, he has tallied 24 points this season including eleven goals.
