The IceRays hit the road this weekend for an important series against the Shreveport Mudbugs. This will be the second series between the two teams this season after the IceRays hosted Mudbugs in October. The two teams split the series at American Bank Center earlier this season.
Corpus Christi has a couple of new additions to the lineup this weekend in Shreveport. Matt Harvey and Trey Zagrzebski join the IceRays in Shreveport to start their tenure with the IceRays.
Zagrzebski joins the IceRays after spending part of the season with Barrie of the OHL and Green Bay of the USHL. Harvey, a defenseman from New York, joins the Rays from the Cornwall Colts of the CCHL. He played 28 games with Cornwall this season scoring ten points.
Another addition for the IceRays comes from within as Stepan Kuznetsov is projected to make his return to the lineup this weekend. Kuznetsov has not played since the holiday break.
This weekend’s series is as important as a series has been this season as the IceRays sit six points out of a playoff spot in sixth place. Shreveport currently has four less points than the Rays and sit in seventh place in the South division.
The games this weekend can be found on Brewster Street Radio and HockeyTV with puck drop scheduled for 7:11 pm.
